When I look back 🙂
My school days were filled with not only marks, study hours, games, victories and classes but also the emotional dilemmas, fights, failures and love stories. I never thought that the persons who were sitting around me in the classroom would create such a huge impact on my life. Everyone added some pages in the book of my life.
I read somewhere that "We don't know the importance of time until it becomes a memory". Yeah! That's correct. I did not know the importance of those school days and later, I felt bad about that. So, I had decided not to waste a single minute of my college days when I entered college. But the scenarios were completely different. Each and everything happened was completely opposite to what I expected, except for the last few months. As a result, I have been trying to forget some memories of my days in college.
Here in both cases, expectation played a major role. When I was blank and expected nothing during my school days I got more positive memories but the case was reversed during my College days. But I learnt a lot from both school and college. I can say that expectations influenced my mindset and it decided the nature of my memories i.e Positive or Negative. I never ask you to expect less to get more. Train your mind to see the good things in every situation either good or bad. Everything teaches you something, but it's up to you to understand it or not.
Everything - good things and bad thing altogether - is temporary and the best philosophy in life is to try to find a way to make all the good things perpetual!!! [ Mehmet Murat ildan ]
